On the occasion of the presentations of the new video project The Residence (a wager for the afterlife)(2012) at ARGOS, Brussels and Manifesta 9 Limburg, Vermeir & Heiremans developed a flexible furniture piece 'Modular'. In a reversal of the current economic paradigm, the design furniture piece is ' Created in China- Made in Europe'.
A photoshoot was organized in collaboration with the photographer Greet De Gendt and the artist Francis Denys in order to create 'advertisements' for the artist publication 'In-Residence Magazine'. This publication takes the form of a 'faux' lifestyle magazine, designed by Swiss graphic designer Salome Schmuki. The locations for the photo shoot were ARGOS Brussels, the former coal mine were Manifesta 9 was going to take place, the artists' loft etc...
